One word: Ribbons. I just really resonate more with BonBonRibbon's overt love for ribbons and fashion and I love that even her ears are patterned to match her bow. Even though she may never be as popular or iconic on the same level as My Melody, she will always be iconic to my me.
Meet BonBonRibbon!
Bonbonribbon is a fashionable pink rabbit who loves to dress up. Her mother is a fashion design who made her iconic ribbon, inspiring Bonbonribbon to become a fashion designer like her. But, she also loves signing and dancing so much she formed a dance group with her friends from ballet school called the Lily Bonbons.

Lalalaflora is a fashionable young lady whom Bonbonribbon admires like an older sister. Her dream is to become a prima ballerina.

Milymimi is a talkative little bunny with big eyes who looks up to Bonbonribbon like a big sister.

A talkative girl around Bonbonribbon's age who excels at dancing and loves sweets.
Media
Bonbonribbon starred in two MVs in Sanrio's official Youtube channel. The first one felt more like something to be shown in a billboard, but the second one slightly expands on Bonbonribbon and the world she lives in as she and her friends practice for a dance contest.
Bonbonribbon also appeared in the show Sanrio Characters Pon Pon Jump!. It's a variety show following Hello Kitty and her friends in Pon Pon Island which is filled with many challenges to face. From what I've seen, it seems that it's focused on Hello Kitty and the show's two original characters as a trio while My Melody and BonBonRibbon is just along for the ride sometimes.
There is also an official BonBonRibbon 3DS game called BonBonRibbon: Tokimeki Coord Kirakira Dance. It is a rhythm game with simon says elements. You can also buy ribbons and other accessories for Bonbonribbon and her friends to wear on stage.
